| Interaction |
In Evince, selected objects in a plot or table will interact with other related plots and tables. A selection in one area will therefore be visible in the other areas as well. The options for interaction can be accessed in the table- or plot properties. Here, the user can deactivate interaction for the active plot or decide whether only selected data should be visible.
In the figure below, the interaction is visible between the two plots and the data tree.

Plots and tables will also interact with the data tree. When a plot is selected the corresponding item in the data tree will be surrounded by a red rectangle.

The red rectangle will be dashed if the item is not showed directly, which means the user must expand the tree in order to view the item. Alternatively, the user can click on the "automatically expand button" to view the selected item directly.
