With the Layout Buttons the user can show or hide different areas of Evince.

By default, the Table Area and Plot Area are shown from start, whereas the Model Area is not. Clicking on an activated area button will hide the area, while clicking on a deactivated button will show the area. At least one area will always be visible, which means a certain area cannot be hidden if it is the only one that is visible. Hiding certain areas is convenient when for example it is necessary to make room for more plots.
