The Quick Information Area is found on the left side of the workspace below the Data Tree. This area shows information about a highlighted table, model or selected objects in a plot. The thumbtack in the top left corner of the quick information area can be used for sticking the information about a certain item to be viewed constantly.

In addition to getting information from the Quick Information Area, the user can hover the mouse pointer over an object in the Evince user interface. This will make a tooltip appear, which will show a brief information about most objects.
