The second tab in the first image file import step provides functionality for reducing image dimensions. The user can select a reducing factor for Rows, Columns and Channels. The number of rows, (or columns/channels) will be divided by the reducing factor. The appearance of the reduced image will updated instantly in the image view. Moreover, the estimated memory usage is shown and will be updated for each click made.

The second tab lets the user clear the image, which means it will revert back to its original state with all pixels included. Please note that the "Clear" tools does not change the pixel dimensions.
