Tools Main Menu:

Show Toolbar: Shows/Hides the toolbar below the main menu.

Layout: Shows/hides Evince workspace areas. A black dot before the icon indicates that the actual area is visible. Please note that at least one area has to be visible. The Layout menu option has the same functionality as the Layout Buttons.

Free Memory: Will write all Data Tree matrices to a temporary file onto the hard drive. This will increase the memory available to Evince.

Project Description: Opens a dialogue where the user can enter custom information about the project.

Options:

Auto Update: Opens a window where the user can activate automatic updates. If automatic updates is turned on, Evince will check during every startup if there are updates available for download. If the user is behind a firewall, it is possible to enter proxy information using the button labeled "proxy". Here, the user must give the host name of the proxy and the port number. If authentication is needed, the user must also enter username or email and password.

3D Settings: Hardware acceleration for Contour 3D plots will be turned on when the box "Use 3D acceleration" is ticked. This setting is global, i.e. activated for all Contour 3D plots. If the user is experiencing problems with the Contour 3D plot, this setting can be turned off, which also will cause a performance decrease.
