Contribution Plot

The Contribution plot can be used for finding differences in variables between two observations in a specific component. The contribution plot is weighted with the loading vector for the chosen component.

Contribution Plot Settings:

Observations: Specifies which observations that should be compared.

Weights: Specifies which loading vector will be used as weights.

Color: Changes the coloring of the contribution plot bars. Available options are [FIXED]; all bars have the same color, [INDEX]; the indices for the plotted variables are used for the coloring, [VALUE]; the values of the selected observation are used for the coloring, [CATEGORY]; Colors the bars according to a variable category.

Label: Changes the labels in the contribution plot. Available options are [NONE]; no labels are used, [INDEX]; the indices of the plotted observations are used as labels, [IDENTIFIER]; An identifier of the plotted vector is used as labels, [VALUE]; the values of the plotted vectors are used as labels, [CATEGORY]; depending on the type of the plotted vector, either an observation category or a variable category is used as labels.

Comment: Available options are [NONE], [CUSTOM] and [CATEGORY]. With [CUSTOM] the user can enter a custom comment using the advanced settings. The custom comment will be shown in the tooltip box that appears when the mouse pointer hovers above a data point. The comment is also shown in text boxes created from the table toolbar. When [CATEGORY] is selected the comment will be a variable category.
