The Plot Area holds plots, i.e. graphic visualizations of data. Above the Plot Area is the plot toolbar which contain different tools depending on which plot is currently selected.

Just below the plot toolbar is a combo-box for selecting between created plots. To the right, there is an arrow that lets the user access the properties of the selected plot.
