A new observation can be added from the variable view of the DataSet table. Right-click on the table and select "New Observation" from the menu. It can also be done by selecting variablel in a plot and choosing Add selected to / New observation from the plot menu.


The user can then fill in a value for the selected variable.

The added observation can now be seen in yellow in the dataset as a new variable modification...


...and at the bottom of the observation view.

The user must right-click on a variable in the "New Observation" column in order to change the value for each variable of the observation. This is done by selecting "Set Value". Variables with values "MV" are still unset. "MV" stands for missing value.
