Ten years ago, Prediktera began as a small research spin-off from
Umeå University — a handful of people who believed
that hyperspectral technology could be easier to use,
more accessible, and capable of solving real-world
challenges. What started as an academic idea has
grown into a global company supporting industries like
food, pharmaceuticals, mining, agriculture, and
recycling. Along the way, we’ve built more than
software. We’ve built a team. From the early days with
Andreas Vidman and Oskar Jonsson to the talented
colleagues who have joined throughout the years,
every step forward has been shaped by people who
are curious, creative, and committed to making
complex data meaningful and useful. Today, we’re a
team of seven — soon nine — and still driven by the
same spirit that started it all: learn, improve,
collaborate, and push the boundaries of what
hyperspectral technology can do.
Becoming part of Norsk Elektro Optikk AS (NEO) in 2022 strengthened that
journey even further, giving us new opportunities to
grow and innovate together. And as our technology has
evolved, so has our reach — today, our software
supports the majority of hyperspectral cameras on the
market, making it easier than ever for users across
industries to turn complex data into insight and
